The compact lamella clarifier, the smallest in our range

With its 2 m3 volume, it provides a projected area of 8.5 m², which is perfect for most sanitation applications up to 4 m3/h.

In case of coagulation flocculation upstream, or with particles that settle very well, the DLC can be used with flow rates up to 8 m3/h

We offer this equipment with many options:

  • the possibility to add an industrial water storage
  • a sludge pump
  • a solenoid valve to collect the floating sludge.

Monobloc lamella clarifiers up to 40 m3/h

We offer our lamella clarifiers in 3 standardized sizes, for a projected surface of 13, 26 and 39 m².

Indeed, with their thick walls, they can be installed on the ground, but can also be partially or completely buried. Moreover, for an outdoor use, a cover protects the clarifier from sun and bad weather.

Coagulation flocculation lamellar settling.

Many applications involve coagulation upstream from equipment. Our lamella clarifiers, offered in 3 standardized formats up to 39 m² of projected surface, integrate :

  • a coagulation vat
  • a flocculation vat
  • a set of coagulation and flocculation vats.

Stirrer speed will be set according to your instructions.

Custom-made lamella blocks

You want to add lamellar blocks to a concrete pond? We give you the opportunity to choose between different lamella formats, inclinations and block lengths.

Easy to assemble, these blocks can be sent in parts and directly assembled on-site.

High lamella clarifiers for high residence time

Thanks to their large volume, the range of high lamella clarifiers have a maximized residence time, which is ideal for the sedimentation of light particles.

Just like all the other clarifiers in our range, they are equipped with self-cleaning lamella of 3 mm thickness in smoothed PVC inclined at 60°.

Why choose our lamella clarifiers?

In order to properly understand the criteria below, it is necessary to understand the function of lamella clarifiers. See our specific chapter on settling.

Here are the characteristics that differentiate our lamella clarifiers from other settling solutions:

  • Lamella thickness: while many suppliers offer lamellas with a thickness <1,5 mm, Our lamellas are 3 mm thick. This thickness makes the structure much more resistant to clogging due to lack of maintenance and prevents the risk of collapse.
  • Custom blocks: we offer customized lamella blocks, with a choice of
    • 4 plate inclinations (from 45 to 60°)
    • choice of lamella spacing
    • 3 sizes of lamellas
  • Twin weir channel: we equip all our weir channels with a twin channel, allowing for separate collection:
    • decanted water: the treated water in fact
    • floating sludge: the floating fraction on the surface of lamella clarifiers which, if not collected separately, decreases efficiency in TSS, COD, BOD5.
  • Anti-clogging: the lamellas are made of smooth PVC, to prevent sludge to stick on the plates. In addition, the lamella blocks are the ” parallel plate ” type. Unlike the “octagon”, “diamond” or “tubular” type blocks, the “parallel” type is much less subjected to sludge accumulation in low velocity areas
  • Flexible weir channel:all our weir channel are equipped with oblong holes. It is very easy to fix them horizontally even when the concrete slab is not perfectly flat.
  • High stability: in addition to the thickness of the lamellas, the lamella blocks are held together by thick polypropylene plates. A man can walk on the blocks with a burden distribution plate, without any risk of falling.
  • Storage of industrial water: the bottom of the lamella clarifier in the building and outdoor version can be used to store treated water. This is useful when you have a sieve to supply to the head of the plant.
  • Reinforcing the bottom of the clarifier: some very sandy waters have a very important abrasive power. In this case, reinforcing the bottom of the clarifier with a strong material is recommended.
  • Several options for the inlets and outlets: each configuration is different and you will surely need to have the power supplies on one side and the outlets on the other… Everything is possible, you just have to ask.

How do you determine your Hazen speed?

With the Hazen velocity, you can determine the surface area of a settling tank. For example, with 100 m3/h of flow to be treated from an effluent with a corrected volume of 440 ml/L, we have :

  • A speed of 1.1 m3/m²/h (or m/h) for a classic clarifier. With 100 m3/h, it is necessary 100 / 1.1 = 91 m² of settling surface, that is to say 91 m² of ground surface
  • A speed of 0.44 m/h for a lamella clarifier. With 100 m3/h, 100 / 0.44 = 228 m² of lamella settling surface, but as the lamellae surface is on average 10 m² / m² of floor space, the size of the basin will actually be 228 / 10 = 22.8 m² of floor space

In this example, a lamella clarifier is 4 times more compact than a conventional clarifier. And the larger the corrected volume, the more this value increases.
