Make the water safe to use, with a UV sterilizer

The UV sterilizer is ideal for small communities, industries of all kinds (food, pharmacy, cosmetics, …). With the UV-C technology, 1H2O3 offers you an efficient, ecological and chemical-free disinfection solution for disinfecting process water or waste water.

How the UV sterilizer works

In UV disinfection systems, water is purified by passing through a stainless steel chamber (also called a “reactor”) that contains one or more special UV-producing lamps. As the water passes the lamp, the microbes in the water receive a lethal dose of UV light. Viruses, bacteria and protozoa are thus rendered harmless. In addition, this technology has the enormous advantage of not generating any disinfection by-products, which further protects the environment and aquatic life.

Regulations

The UVC reactors guarantee the respect of the bacteriological quality limits of the water (according to the decree of 25/12/2003) and are in conformity with the Directive of the Ministry of Health relating to the treatment by UV. A preliminary filtration may be necessary. If your project concerns the reuse of wastewater or process water, local regulations apply on a case by case basis. The sterilizers of the IBP range, with their numerous options, can meet a multitude of different needs (reinforced pressure, sensors…)

Gamme des stérilisateurs industriels - lampes High Output

Gamme des stérilisateurs industriels - lampes amalgame

There are 2 types of lamps: the standard HO and the amalgam lamps with a wider temperature range: 3 to 60 degrees.

Industrial sterilizer series.

Under normal use conditions:

    • – 5 years on stainless steel reactor (materials and welds) except in the presence of a very corrosive environment (brackish or very salty environment, sea water, proximity of acid and corrosive products, use of hydrochloric acid).
    • – 2 years for all components except the UV lamp and the quartz sleeve (consumable).

Please refer to the supplier’s specific terms and conditions and user manual for more information.

Exclusions:

Defects and damage caused by natural wear and tear, external accidents, wrong assembly, improper maintenance, irregular use, inadequate storage, non-respect of the expiration date, intervention by a third party, or modification of the product not provided for or specified by the seller, are excluded from the warranty.

Please refer to the supplier’s specific terms and conditions for more information.

  • Easy to operate treatment, which does not modify the physico-chemical characteristics of the water: no modification of the taste, the smell, …
  • Economic investment and operation,
  • The physical and chemical characteristics of the water are not modified: the original taste and smell of the water are preserved,
  • No UV-C disinfection by-products harmful to human health are created during water purification,
  • Drinking water is not dangerous (no risk of legionellosis…).
  • Quick and easy to install
  • Compactness
  • High efficiency in eliminating microorganisms
  • Possible combination with other treatment processes (filtration, softening, …).
  • No danger for fauna and flora
  • Sturdiness with a 316L stainless steel reactor
  • Maintenance-friendly construction for easy maintenance
  • Reduced maintenance due to long-life lamps
  • Low energy consumption with high efficiency lamps and high quality quartz sleeves.
  • Capacity in millijoules ensuring a high efficiency until the end of the lamps’ life and guaranteeing the effective destruction of undesirable micro-organisms ( especially certain viruses)
  • In comparison with using chemical disinfectants: no more risky transport, storage and handling
  • No risk of under or overdose.
  • Outstanding disinfection performance through extensive optimization of UV emissions and hydraulic flow
  • Adapted mirror-polished 316L stainless steel reactors with optimized performance
  • Compact reactors for easy installation
  • Use of single lamps and vertical design for easy maintenance
  • Optional UV sensor and monitor with LED alarm and dry contacts for reporting
  • Connection can be customized DN flanges,…
  • Very long lamp life (13,000 hours depending on the number of times it is turned on)
  • Dedicated electronic ballasts for maximum UV lamp efficiency and integrated control
  • Reduced pressure losses
  • Maintenance: quick and easy lamp change and quartz sleeve cleaning
  • Advanced Oxidation Treatment with catalysts.
  • Potabilization of raw water from local resources (wells, boreholes, catchments,…)
  • Securing network water, especially after dechlorination on activated carbon
  • securing recycled rainwater for sanitary use
  • Sterilization for :
    • process water
    • cleaning and rinsing water
    • various technical waters
  • Protection downstream of membrane type treatment systems (reverse osmosis units, ultrafiltration etc. ….)
  • Maintains the quality of the stored water: raw water, treated water.
  • Dechloramination :
    • Reduced chlorine removal rate
    • Combined chlorine reduction

In many countries, regulations call for 25 mJ of dose at the worst point of the UV sterilizer. For safety reasons, it is recommended to take 40 mJ at the end of the lamp’s life.
Some cases require special attention:

  • Lime water: provide a softener upstream
  • Water intended for public consumption: provide a UV sensor (see options) and sampling valves for DASS controls
  • Rain and well water: UV radiation only destroys bacteria and viruses, but does not eliminate non-organic pollutants that may be present in the water. UV-treated rainwater is therefore not “potable”. Consider adding a filtration device.
  • Presence of suspended solids: provide upstream filtration and/or oversize the installation
  • Water of mountain: it is recommended to use amalgam lamps (AM+) because they keep their efficiency even for very cold water.
  • Chlorine pollution: plan an activated carbon treatment upstream

Delivered with: Assembly instructions

Delays

  • IBP HO+ : 3 weeks
  • IBP AM+ : 4 weeks

Once the order has been placed, the above-mentioned period runs (excluding weeks 31 to 34 and 51 to 52) from the date of receipt of payment and validation of the project plan (including all the options requested in the case of special requests). As soon as the equipment is ready, it will be shipped to you. A road transport requires approximately one week to set up, it can take up to 3 weeks for a container depending on the destination.
