Depending on water quality: pre-filtration; for reuse (REUT), follow local rules
The UV sterilizer is ideal for small communities, industries of all kinds (agri-food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics,…). Thanks to UV-C technology, 1H2O3 offers you an effective, ecological and chemical-free disinfection solution for disinfecting process water or wastewater.
How the UV Sterilizer Works
In UV disinfection systems, water is purified through a stainless steel chamber (also known as a “reactor”) that contains one or more special UV-producing lamps. When the water passes in front of the lamp, the microbes in the water receive a lethal dose of UV. Viruses, bacteria and protozoa are thus rendered harmless. Moreover, this technology offers a huge benefit in that it does not generate any disinfection by-products, which further protects the environment and aquatic life.
Regulation
UVC reactors guarantee compliance with the limits of the bacteriological quality of the water (following the decree of 25/12/2003) and comply with the Directive of the Ministry of Health on UV treatment. Prior filtration may be necessary. If your project involves the reuse of wastewater or process water, local regulations apply on a case-by-case basis. Sterilizers of the IBP range, with their numerous options, can meet a multitude of diverse needs (reinforced pressure, sensors…)
There are 2 types of lamps: the standard HO and the amalgam lamps with a wider temperature range: 3 to 60 degrees.
Under normal use conditions:
– 5 years for the stainless steel reactor (materials and welds) except when used in a highly corrosive environment (brackish or very salty environment, seawater, proximity of acidic and corrosive products, use of hydrochloric acid).
– 2 years for all components except the UV lamp and quartz sheath (consumables).
Please refer to the supplier’s specific terms and conditions and user manual for more information.
Excluded:
Defects and damage caused by natural wear and tear, external accidents, wrong assembly, improper maintenance, irregular use, inadequate storage, non-respect of the expiration date, intervention by a third party, or modification of the product not provided for or specified by the seller, are excluded from the warranty.
Please refer to the supplier’s specific terms and conditions for more information.
Simple to implement treatment, which does not modify the physico-chemical characteristics of the water: no change in taste, smell, etc.
Economic investment and operation,
The physico-chemical characteristics of the water are not modified: the taste and original smell of the water are preserved,
No UV-C disinfection by-products that are harmful to human health are created during water purification,
Drinking water does not represent a danger (no risk of legionellosis, etc.).
Quick and easy to install
Compactness
High efficiency in eliminating microorganisms
Possible combination with other treatment processes (filtration, softening, …).
No threat to flora and fauna
Sturdiness with a 316L stainless steel reactor
Maintenance-friendly construction for easy maintenance
Reduced maintenance due to long-life lamps
Low energy consumption with high efficiency lamps and high quality quartz sleeves.
Capacity in millijoules ensuring a high efficiency until the end of the lamps’ life and guaranteeing the effective destruction of undesirable micro-organisms ( especially certain viruses)

Dedicated electronic ballasts ensuring maximum UV output of the lamps and integrated control
Reduced pressure losses
Maintenance: quick and easy lamp change and quartz sleeve cleaning
Advanced Oxidation Treatment with the presence of catalysts.
Purification of raw water from local resources (wells, boreholes, catchments,…)
Securing network water, after dechlorination with activated carbon in particular
Securing recycled rainwater for sanitary use
Sterilization for:
Industrial Process Water
Water cleaning and rinsing
Miscellaneous technical waters
Protection downstream of membrane type treatment systems (reverse osmosis units, ultrafiltration etc. ….)
Maintenance of the quality of the stored water: raw water, treated water.
Dechloramination :
Reduced chlorine removal rate
Combined chlorine reduction
In many countries, regulations recommend a dose of 25 mJ at the worst point of the UV sterilizer. To be safe for drinking water, it is recommended to take 40 mJ at the end of the lamp’s life. Some cases require special attention:
Hard water: provide a softener beforehand
Water intended for public consumption: provide a UV sensor (see options) and sampling valves for DASS controls
Rainwater and wells: UV radiation only destroys bacteria and viruses, but does not remove non-organic pollutants that may be present in the water. UV-treated rainwater is therefore not “drinkable”. Consider adding a filtration device.
Presence of suspended solids: provide upstream filtration and/or oversize the installation
Mountain water: it is recommended to use amalgam lamps (AM+) because they retain their effectiveness even for very cold waters.
Chlorine pollution: plan an activated carbon treatment upstream
Once the order has been placed, the above-mentioned period runs (excluding weeks 31 to 34 and 51 to 52) from the date of receipt of payment and validation of the project plan (including all the options requested in the case of special needs). As soon as the equipment is ready, it will be shipped to you. Road transport requires an average of one week to set up, it can go up to 3 weeks for a container depending on the destination. Please refer to the supplier’s specific terms and conditions for more information.
