Quartz guide

Price range: € 11,64 through € 125,40 HT

The quartz guide has replaced the anti-vibration cup on BioUV reactors since 2008.
It centers and protects the quartz sleeve, secures the seal at the gasket,
and reduces mechanical stress during maintenance.

Compatibility

  • UV10, UV20, UV30, UV40
  • UV170, UV250, UV340

Before / After 2008

Is your quartz sheath really protected? The 3 signs that say “replace the quartz guide”

What should alert you immediately

  • Damaged or cracked quartz sheath
→ Often the consequence of a worn or broken quartz guide.
  • The cladding does not extend a few millimetres flush with the reactor outlet
→ The famous “spring effect” is no longer guaranteed: risk of shock and breakage.
  • No feeling of spring effect when installing a new duct
→ The quartz guide no longer plays its role as a shock absorber/vibrator-stop.

Good reflex on old reactors (10 years and +) : Always check this point. Natural wear and tear of the quartz guide is frequent and often invisible to the naked eye.

Why act now?

  • Less breakage, fewer stoppages, more availability of your UV rays
  • Sealing preserved at the duct seal
  • Perfect alignment of the sheath = UV performance maintained

What we recommend

  • Immediate replacement in case of doubt or visible wear and tear
  • Always choose the original BioUV part (compatibility, durability, compliance)

  2. Remove the hydraulic fittings
  3. Purge your reactor
  4. Remove the bottom connection
  5. Remove the cable plug to release the lamp cable.
  6. Remove the reactor hood
  7. Unplug the ballast connector.
  8. Remove the lamp and then the sleeve.
