With its large volume of 28.5 m3 and thanks to its compactness with a projected developed surface of 86 m², the DLH-XXL high lamella clarifier is intended for building installation. This reduces some of the problems such as:

  • seaweed growth,
  • clogging from external debris accumulation such as dead leaves
  • odor control,

Operating in an enclosed space also limits heat loss from the water, an important parameter in the efficiency of biological treatment.

You will find below some of the specific characteristics of lamellar clarifiers and the advantages of the DLH-XXL:

Benefit of lamella technology

  • Ground surface area <90%: Lamella settling technology allows the water to be treated on a surface area 10 times smaller than a traditional clarifier.
  • No moving parts:All lamella clarifiers are fixed. Without moving parts, they require little maintenance and servicing.
  • Hydraulic overloads: Lamella settling is a faster clarification process. A lamella clarifier can operate with peak flow rates 2 to 4 times higher than traditional clarifiers.
  • No chemicals:Thanks to their simple design, lamella clarifiers work without chemicals.slqt Therefore, they are able to act as a pre-treatment for delicate membrane processes for example.
  • Flocculation coagulation: Performance can be improved through the action of flocculants and coagulants. These chemicals allow to bind the particles together. As they are heavier, they settle better, which increases the purity of the treated water, even improving the removal of phosphorus when the coagulation is FeCl3.

Specific advantages of the lamella clarifier 1h2o3

  • Smoothed anti-clogging lamellae:All our clarifiers are equipped with smoothed PVC lamellae, allowing a better sedimentation and offering in addition a self-cleaning effect
  • Lamellae thickness: All our clarifiers are equipped with 3 mm thick lamellae. This thickness makes the structure much more resistant to clogging due to lack of maintenance and prevents the risk of collapse.
  • Storage of industrial water: The bottom of the lamella clarifier is designed to store the treated water. It is useful when you have a sifter to feed at the head of the plant for example.
  • Regulation-compliant inclination: The 60° inclination satisfies most regulations/recommendations for lamella settling.
  • Corrosion resistant: The materials used in every Monoblock lamella clarifier are corrosion resistant, which significantly improves the life span of the equipment.
  • Separate collection of floating sludge our twin weir channel, the sludge can be collected separately:
    • – decanted water: treated water
    • – floating sludge : the floating fraction on the surface of lamella clarifiers which, if not collected separately, reduces efficiency in TSS, COD, BOD5.
  • High quality and recyclable materials: Unlike fiberglass, all materials used in our equipment are 100% recyclable. We hope that you will return the equipment at the end of its life!
  • Drinking water conformity:Some countries require specific materials for drinking water applications (NSF-61, ACS, DVGW, SVGW..). We can adapt the materials of our lamella clarifiers to meet your specific regulations.
  • Quick drain: It is required to clean the lamellae of the lamella clarifier. You can lower the fluid level with the sludge drain. And to save time, a “quick drain” pipe can be added under the Lamellae.
  • Heat insulation: Tall our clarifiers are surrounded by a honeycomb envelope > 50mm, which allows to keep the heat while providing a great structural resistance.
  • Removable lamella blocks: Some industries (IAA, aquaculture) have to clean the structures periodically, and therefore have access to the bottom of the structure. All 1h2o3 lamella clarifiers have removable lamellae blocks. This way, the clarifier is fully reachable and it is even more convenient to clean the lamellae!
  • Reinforced clarifier bottom:Some sandy waters have a higher abrasion potential, and it is better to reinforce the clarifier bottom in these cases.
