Luckily, we use an activated carbon-based MBBR carrier to specifically meet this demand!
If you are here, you most certainly have:
- a space problem, and you are looking for a compact solution
- a treatment performance problem, and you are looking for solutions to improve nitrification or denitrification
- a limited budget, and you are looking for the most economical solution to meet your commitments
- all three of the above problems at once
Our MBBR media is ideal to meet these specific requirements.
What is the purpose of a biofilm carrier?
In a wastewater treatment plant, the place where the majority of the removal of pollution from the wastewater takes place is called the biological treatment. Why organic? Because it is micro-organisms that carry out this treatment. And it is precisely the MBBR carrier (otherwise known as chips or media) that is at the heart of the biological treatment. In other words, a bacterial support is used to host numerous bacteria. It is like a large building, where microorganisms can easily eat (clean up), breathe, and reproduce. The larger is the building, the more bacteria it can accommodate, forming a biofilm.
