Rotary Screen

Tamis rotatif en inox

Fine sifter consuming only 1 to 3 m3/h at 3 bar when in service. With its triangular wire and outer supply, this rotary drum screen is able to efficiently process rough waste and greasy effluents. This compact equipment is capable of extracting considerable quantities of material at a low investment and operating cost. TR rotary screens have the following performance features:

  • Flow rates ranging from 25 to 200 m3/h for urban effluents, and from 20 to 160 m3/h for food processing effluents (data for 1 mm mesh).
  • Low power consumption: motor power at 0.37 kW 3~
  • Low water requirement at pressures ≥3 bars, so can be used with tap water
  • About 5% reduction of COD / BOD5 in pretreatment of wastewater treatment plants.

TR rotary screen ensures separate collection of waste and particles. It features the following characteristics:

  • Automatic operation mode
  • Easy to maintain
  • Gravity or pumping supply
  • Possibility of adding a hopper and bags or a compactor with bagging system
  • The compactor version can be fitted with a by-pass with integrated manual bar screen.

The screener is a required equipment to protect your downstream process. This allows to remove all the large waste above the selected mesh size. Also, it allows to separate some of the grease and sand. The TR rotary screen is perfect for all treatment plants up to 10,000 p.e. Separate waste collection significantly improves the quality of the mud. Their valorization or spreading is then easier.

Our rotary drum screens stood out thanks to:

  • the sturdy construction of the drum in triangular wire
  • with wear-proof scraper with constant pressure on the drum
  • with stainless steel roller bearings
  • at the indirect drum workout

The waste water is transferred to a dispenser box from where it spreads over the upper part of the drum. While the water flows through the mesh, the screenings are carried away at the top by the rotation of the drum. Once the waste is collected, it is collected in a stainless steel hopper before being stored in a waste garbage can or a truck.

Fine screening technology benefits

  • Low maintenance: rotary drum screens require limited maintenance
  • Easy to operate: automatic operation with self-cleaning system.
  • Very small footprint
  • Wide range of applications: Rotary drum screens are used in a broad range of applications in all industrial sectors
  • Waste sorting: a fine screen ensures that the screenings are separately collected. Those are not found in the mud.
  • Process safety: removing rough waste at the head of the treatment process prevents pump clogging and material build-up in the tanks.

Specific benefits of 1h2o3 rotary drum screens

  • Environment-friendly technology: splash-proof cover, limited odor
  • Low cost: our rotary drum screens are inexpensive and their operating cost is very limited ( less electricity, less water)
  • Average pressure water: our rotary drum screens can operate with a pressure of 3 bars or more, which is the same as the pressure of the drinking water network. No need to add a booster pump
  • Sturdy structure: With a frame and tank made of 304 L stainless steel, the rotary drum screens are very resistant and conceived to last.
  • Internal bypass: our drum screen is highly reliable, an internal overflow ensures the bypass
  • Smart technology: in option, the features of our electrical boxes can be enriched by :
    • integration of one or more electronic clutches for optimum protection of the drive motor
    • integration of customized information reports
    • addition of complementary control modes (rate-duration, TP detection, …)
    • Supporting feet for electrical box fixing

Rotary drum screens are used for many applications:

Industrial and agri-food effluents:

  • Wine and vineyard, dairy or paper effluents
  • Slaughterhouses, dairies, saltings, fast food, cooked meals, canning factories, fruits, animal feed, …
  • Process water, washing water (fruits and vegetables, potatoes), waste water.
  • Textile, laundry, tannery
  • Shipyards, fish industry, river dredging

Urban effluents :

  • Municipal wastewater: direct fine screening or downstream of a pre-screening.
  • Networks: treatment of wastewater from storm overflow
  • Wastewater at the inlet of a lagoon or a reed bed
